Description: The Official Teamwork Test is an asymmetrical cross-platform co-op puzzle game designed for you and 2-4 of your friends (the folks from accounting out there might have already done the math) That means  3-5 players. Created in collaboration with Jingyi Li, and with music from Noah Balamucki.

CURRENTLY IN PRODUCTION
All documentation shown is not final.
This project is our Thesis for the NYU Game Design MFA program and explores alternative ways of communication and play.

ROLE: Co - CREATOR
ENGINE: Unreal / Unity

Every round, Players must work together to print and deliver the quarterly reports - however many obstacles lie in their path One player takes on the role of Team Leader, who is free to roam the test level. However, a randomized set of perilous risks, and locked doors keep them from reaching the end without the aid of their team.

The rest of the players become Teammates; logging into the specific room via web based portal (any browser window will do).  They  are given smaller tasks to complete in order to aid the Team Leader.
Often teammates will have to work together on complementary tasks to get work done.
My main intention in creating The Official Teamwork Test [presented by BIG CORPORATION INC] was to experiment with asymmetrical problem solving and communication.  It began from several solo networking experiments, having browser users watch as a singular player completed a small game.

However through iteration I found that alternative communication methods (shown below) made for some really interesting playtesting sessions.

Soon after this the first prototypes were built in Unity and refined into The Official Teamwork Test project.
Jingyi Li joined the project at this stage as a talented Game Designer, Level Designer and Narrative thinker. The second half of production picked up in narrative development, polish, and clarity. We transferred the project to Unreal to better suit our teams skills, and continued with production!
